Calm, unshakable, and in-control are the words often described her, just from the first impression she gives. Faye is an easy-going and fearless woman, described as mature, wise, and with great insight for someone her age. Born with the inability to feel fear, Faye never feels hesitation in doing dangerous things or taking opportunities whenever it presents itself, causing her to be reckless in her youth, realizing even little innocent actions and good intentions can still cause terrible consequences. This fearlessness later became tempered by her developing an interest in psychology, in an attempt to figure out what was wrong with her. It bloomed into an interest in people's behaviors as a whole, giving Faye a deep knowledge of people's hearts and minds to the point she became great at observation and induction.

She exhibits a happy demeanor, playful with her friends and can get quite talkative around anyone whose company she adores. She likes to dote on people with tender acts of service and words of affirmation. Faye is a kind person who wont hesitate to help someone in need, acting like an amateur psychiatrist to everyone with emotional turmoil, and is evident with her relationship with Troy Dantes where she helped the man find peace with his bloody past as a vengeful mass-murderer. That said, she is a master manipulator and has a dark tendency to make people fight or break someone with words when angered. She even had no qualms pretending to be a psychic when she was younger, just to toy with gullible people for her own amusement. It can be said her willingness and eagerness to help fix "broken" people is a projection of her own insecurity, as her inability to feel fear is something that always made her not feel whole. Subconsciously, Faye feels like she's fixing herself by fixing others with their own psychological struggles.

When she starts to feel the emotion of fear, it immediately overwhelms her with anxiety to the point her normal wisdom wasn't able to keep the fear at bay. She becomes avoidant, tending to isolate, and be consumed by it that it affected her decision-making. She became afraid of serious commitment, unable to take the next step with Troy after fearing their relationship would be ruined.

Her lack of fear let Faye become known as the diplomat who took up arms after an ambush that killed her entire security team, leaving Faye and over a dozen of unarmed refugees. Despite her lack of combat training at the time, Faye donned the body armor and weapons of her fallen security detail and fought alongside Troy Dantes who rescued them, making a run for it to the Terran border to avoid their pursuers. This is how she and Troy met.

She loves dogs and has her own Alaskan Malamute named Jin, who she adopted and raised as a puppy. A protector by nature, Jin had saved Faye from her own recklessness and absent-mindedness more than twice. She loves to spoil Jin by feeding him a meat-heavy diet, even at the requests of his veterinarian to keep the dog in a healthy diet.

Faye loves sweets and carbs, with sides of rice, noodles, and potatoes as her guilty pleasure. She's quite weak to potato-based snacks like fries, chips, mashed and baked potatoes, and even vodka as her favorite drink.

Faye grew up outside of the Chinese sphere of influence, but despite this she kept in touch with her culture through fine arts and languages. She is an avid art collector with an eye for design, and it was this interest of her that influenced Troy into adding improvements in the design and aesthetic of their beach house.

She's an avid dancer and uses ballroom and latin dancing as her main physical activity to stay in shape. Hates running and will avoid it if she can.

She likes to sing and sees it as a therapeutic activity, though she prefers to sing with someone else in private. She gets the courage to sing in public or in karaoke after a few drinks though.

Faye enjoys diving into critical analysis of shows, movies, and books she consumes and enjoys talking about them with likeminded individuals. It's easy for her to get immersed into a show, often binge watching a whole season or do a marathon movie watch in one sitting as her favorite way to relax.

Faye is quite the chatterbox who enjoys indulging in a little gossip, especially when intoxicated. Once relaxed enough by the alcohol in her, a lot of the professional composure she's known for flies out the window. She starts to cuss and gets the urge to smoke cigarettes, to sometimes even wanting to play with firearms.

Faye loves fashion and has a large wardrobe of clothes, taking up most of the closet space in her shared home with Troy and in her own condo back in the city. She avoids wearing pants if she can help it, preferring more femme styles and bright shades of colors.

Faye enjoys cooking in traditional ways without the or with minimal use of modern appliances, creating traditional meals from memory of her time in rural China with her family. She makes mostly traditional Chinese cuisines but also dabbles in other types of cuisine that catches her fancy that week or month. Much to the shock of everyone else, Faye is skilled in butchering live animals before cooking them.

Faye is quite knowledgeable in many old and wise sayings, often quoting them in appropriate times in hopes of sharing wisdom to others.

Faye is known to have expressive eyes, which she uses to her advantage in getting what she wants. She is aware that she can cast an unnerving stare with how grey her eyes are, which others have describe as "looking through you" and "emotionless". This was enough to unnerve a mercenary captain to back down during a negotiation, reportedly saying he immediately didn't want to be around Faye, thinking he might die. This leads others to suspect that Faye has some antisocial personality disorder or mild psychopathy.

Despite her wisdom, there remains holes in Faye's worldview. She is the opposite of paranoid. A prime example is Faye has disagreements with Troy when it comes to politics and governance, with Faye not seeing the issue of a surveillance state and believes it to be a net positive, whereas Troy finds it to be against basic rights. Faye was in favor of Midgard becoming a part of the overarching Terran Protectorate, thinking it won't cause any danger to the local Atanean natives despite the Protectorate's increasingly imperialistic stance towards the greater cosmos.

Born in Chengdu, Faye and her family moved around a lot from country to country. Faye found herself staying in Melbourne, London, Singapore, to New York City, and even stayed in Bangkok, Mexico City, and Manila during different summers for volunteer work. Her parents worked as diplomats for the Chinese government, which made Faye follow in their footsteps and take it to a more global height as the Earth created a new unified government by the time she graduated college. With Earth (now officially named Terra) have began an ambitious project in launching arkships to space to colonize new worlds, Faye's job became more focused on preparing for diplomatic relations among different colonies, now separated by oceans of stars instead of mere waters and land borders.

As a diplomat and bureaucrat for the United Nations (now officially named Terran Protectorate), Faye was assigned in the arkship bound for a planet the government dubbed "Midgard". But the arkship got lost along the way, and needed to land on a different planet already inhabited by a pre-industrial and magic-based civilizations. The planet Atanos then became the new Midgard colony, with the Terrans compromising with the locals that they'll settle on an uninhabited continent to the south of the planet and leave the rest alone, only establishing trade relationships with the locals. This agreement of separation and limited contact became known as the Midgard Concordia, a treaty of peace and cooperation, which then also became the name of the faction of united Terrans and local Atanean civilizations.

Faye is one of the younger diplomats aboard the ark, thus her involvement in the making of the treaty is minimal at best. But it was in the gray areas and loopholes missed in the treaty that she operated. With Atanean civilizations having morals akin to medieval societies, there were many locals who found Terran modernity to be a way out of their own countries' more draconian rules and ethics. From slaves, ethnic minorities, and citizens of oppressed nations who all seek asylum under Terran protection, Faye made it her mission to be the one to personally lead the effort in negotiating for their freedoms. Determined to use Terran might for good, Faye bravely stood against threats of death from the ruling classes she bartered with to save people from miserable lives, taking more and more asylum seekers as more nations agree to her terms. Eventually starting from refugee camps near the coasts of Terran occupied Midgard, migrants were granted a new home and a new life in this continent. Those who crossed the seas to Midgard see Faye as their hero, with tales of her bravery without needing to draw a sword becoming stuff of legend.

Together in this effort with her was her partner Troy, and it was their actions that saved thousands and opened up new opportunities for Terran-Atanean relations. It wasn't without any troubles, as some unsavory people have managed to infiltrate Midgard or have used this act as further propaganda against the Terrans, turning the act of goodwill into something more sinister, with lies and conspiracies. But as more Atanean countries refuse to continue sending their citizens to Midgard, Faye was left with even fewer tasks to do, her mission succeeded in saving thousands but she was barred from rescuing thousands more. Thus, leading her to look elsewhere. At this time, Midgard has reestablished connections with other Terran colonies, prompting Faye to be tasked in going to the nearest Terran colony to put Midgard onto the map of the Terran colonial network. This task was risky as the way to the nearest colony is foggy, but all the more reason to send their fearless diplomat for the mission, even if she has to leave Troy behind with only a promise of returning to him one day.

Expert Negotiator: Being a diplomat assigned to foster partnerships among nations and factions, and it was because of her efforts that trade between the Midgard Concordia runs smoothly and fairly. She had earned the respect of monarchs and generals from all over Atanos, having connections and knowing how to pressure leaders into submission with the right leverage or subtle threats without having to use deadly force.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Hypnosis: While Faye dismisses the idea of NLP as mere pseudoscience, she is good at using certain trigger words to distract and disarm someone during a conversation, using it to manipulate someone to a confession or buckling into agreeing to what she wants.

Cold-reading: Faye can spot details on someone's behavior or person to deduce clues about them, allowing her to know things about a person without having to get to know them. She had honed this skill enough to be accurate to a point where she convincingly passes as a "psychic".

Psychology: The root of her skills is her encyclopedic knowledge on human psychology, which proved useful and applicable even to the alien Ataneans. This knowledge makes her impossible to manipulate, as she is able to spot any attempts to.

Basic Combat Training: She has enough combat training under Troy who tutors her personally, allowing Faye to survive dangerous situations whenever she finds herself alone and outnumbered like the time she survived an ambush. Proficient in use of firearms and tactical equipment combined with her clear mind under stress, Faye proved herself a capable marksman with handguns and rifles, able to fend off Atanean bandits armed with bows and crossbows. She had killed off the occasional mage, although her skills are still lacking to face off against a skilled spellcaster.

Drone User: Faye had developed the habit of bringing personal drones to deploy during combat situations to improve her odds of surviving. These drones hover around her, firing at her enemies or shielding her from attacks.
